Polisi Bekuk Dua Pelaku Ilegal Loging

Kuningan Terkini - Jajaran Sat Reskrim Polres Kabupaten Kuningan berhasil membekuk dua pelaku ilegal logging yang beroperasi di kawasan hutan Desa Cipakem Kecamatan Maleber Kuningan. Kedua pelaku berinisial Km warga Dusun Senen RT 09 RW 03 Desa Cipakem Maleber Kuningan, bersama rekannya yang berinisial Ot warga Dusun Senen RT 08 RW 03 Desa Cipakem Maleber Kuningan, akhirnya harus mendekam di jeruji besi Mapolres Kuningan guna mempertanggungjawabkan perbuatannya.
Kapolres Kuningan AKBP Jhony Iskandar SIK melalui Kasat Reskrim Iptu Herie Pranomo saat memberikan keterangan pers, Rabu (7/1/2014), menyebutkan, kedua pelaku ditangkap ketika sedang mengangkut kayu jenis sono keling hasil tebangannya, dan akan melakukan perjalanan untuk menjual hasil kejahatannya. Pihaknya menerangkan, kasus illegal logging ini terungkap berkat informasi masyarakat yang mengatakan, bahwa di kawasan Hutan di Blok Pariuk Desa Cipakem Maleber Kuningan kerap terjadi penebangan liar dan pencurian kayu.
“Setelah menerima laporan, lantas petugas dari kepolisian bersama petugas Perum Perhutani Kuningan melakukan penyidikan. Dan ternyata benar, bahwa ditempat tersebut telah terjadi penebangan secara liar tanpa dilengkapi dokumen sah,” jelasnya.
Dari hasil penangkapan tersebut kata Herie, petugas berhasil mengamankan dua unit kendaraan roda empat yaitu Mitsubhisi Colt T 120 SS jenis Pick Up dengan Nopol E 8703 PG dan jenis Light Truck dengan Nopol E 8576 Z, yang dipergunakan untuk mengangkut hasil penebangan kayu.
Selain itu, 11 batang kayu jenis sono keling ukuran sekira dua meteran hasil kejahatan turut diamankan sebagai barang bukti. Dalam pemeriksaan polisi, kedua tersangka illegal logging ini mengaku akan menjual kayunya ke kawasan Cinagara ke tempat pemotongan kayu.
Untuk mempertanggungjawabkan perbuatannya, kedua tersangka dijerat dengan pasal 82 ayat (1) huruf b dan c Jo pasal 83 ayat (1) huruf a dan b Undang-Undang RI No 18 Tahun 2013 tentang pencegahan dan pemberantasan, perusakan hutan. Ancaman hukumannya diatas lima tahun penjara dengan denda paling banyak 2,5 Milyar.(AND)
